Our organic bed sheets aren’t wrinkle-free, and that’s actually a good thing. It means they’re not treated with formaldehyde resin or any toxic chemical fabric finishes. These irritants are harmful to the skin and won’t wash out.
We only use long-staple cotton fibres. This is the foundation of our super soft and durable bed sheets. Sheets that are made of shorter-staple cotton are least desirable and are more likely to pill. SOJAO sheets won’t wear thin and will only get softer with every wash.
Multi-ply yarns are often composed of shorter, weaker fibers twisted together to give the false impression of durability. At SOJAO, we use single-ply yarn, which can only be spun from long-staple cotton fibres. That makes our organic bed sheets light, yet soft and durable.
A higher thread count doesn't always mean a higher quality sheet. More threads can actually make sheets heavier and less breathable. We found that 300 was the perfect thread count for our long-staple, single-ply cotton fibers. As we use high quality cotton, our organic bed sheets are far superior to a 600 thread count bed sheet that uses multi-ply yarn.
