SOJAO means ‘go to sleep’ in Hindi, and was chosen as a tribute to the Indian cotton farmers behind our best-selling bed sheets. We want the best possible night’s rest not only for our customers, but also for our entire supply chain - right down to the cotton farmers and their families.
What is organic cotton?
Organic cotton is grown using methods and materials that have low impact on the environment. It is produced without the use of harmful chemicals, insecticides and pesticides. It does not use genetically modified seeds, nor does it use any toxic dyes, bleaches or finishes. This is also why organic cotton is softer, gentler and more durable than conventional cotton.
What does GOTS-certified mean?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised as the leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres worldwide. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire supply chain of organic textiles and requires compliance with social criteria as well. Independent third-party certification is required for the whole supply chain. It enables legitimate ‘organic’ claims to be made on final products. What are the benefits of GOTS-certified organic cotton?
Besides being beneficial to the well-being of farmers and the environment, it is a safe option for you and your loved ones. Sleeping on organic cotton, grown without any pesticides or treated with any toxic chemicals, is the best gift you can give your skin. It is especially beneficial for those with sensitive skin conditions or allergies such as eczema.
Buying a GOTS-certified product also means supporting fair working conditions for workers employed in the factories and making sure no child labour is involved.
Where does SOJAO source organic cotton from? And why?
After spending close to two years searching for the best cotton, we found what we were looking for in India. India is one of the largest organic cotton producers in the world. India also has a long history of respected textile tradition, which enables us to produce at some of the highest quality production facilities in the world that are GOTS-certified.

What is the thread count of SOJAO bed sheets?
SOJAO bed sheets are made with 100% long staple organic cotton and weaved using single-ply yarn, to a 300 thread count. Our bed sheets have the perfect balance of being lightweight, breathable, super soft and durable.
What is thread count and how should it affect my buying decision?
Thread count is the textile industry's measurement of the number of horizontal and vertical threads per square inch. It is not an accurate indicator of how soft or durable a bed sheet is. The quality of a product also depends on the weaving process and the quality of the yarn used. We're proud to say that all SOJAO sheets are made with 100% long staple organic cotton and weaved using single-ply yarn.
How do I wash & care for my SOJAO bed sheets?
Our bed sheets are designed to last with minimum care:
• Machine wash on gentle cycle • Wash with like colours • Do not bleach • Tumble dry low & remove promptly • Line dry for best results • Iron on low temperature if needed
What types of dyes are used in all SOJAO bed sheets?
We only use GOTS-certified low impact dyes that are AZO-free and that are safe for the environment and for you. Our whites are also bleached using oxygen-based bleaches, instead of chlorine-based bleaches.
What is Sateen?
Sateen is a type of weave: four-over-one-under. It's what gives our bed sheets its signature buttery-smooth, luxurious finish.
Does SOJAO bed sheets wrinkle?
Yes they do, and that's a good thing! Our sheets are not treated with formaldehyde resin or any toxic chemical fabric finishes. These irritants are harmful to the skin and won’t wash out. SOJAO sheets will naturally wrinkle, but these wrinkles will be reduced with every wash and use. We also recommend hanging your bed sheets to dry immediately after the wash has ended, to prevent significant wrinkling.
Do SOJAO bed sheets come pre-washed?
Yes! Our bed sheets can be used immediately. However, we do recommend that you wash them first if you have any skin sensitivities.
Will SOJAO bed sheets shrink after the first wash?
Yes, because we avoid harmful chemical sizing agents like formaldehyde or other laundering practices to pre-shrink the final product. But rest assured, SOJAO sheets are shipped to you slightly oversized to account for the slight natural shrinkage that will occur. After the first few washes, your bed sheets should fit perfectly!
How deep are SOJAO fitted sheets?
Our fitted sheets have 38cm (15") deep pockets and a full elastic band to ensure it fits even the thickest mattress with a topper.
What are the dimensions of SOJAO bed sheets?
We carry many sizes from Cot to California King. Have a look at our size guide to find the perfect fit for your bed.
I have a King bed and I use large-sized pillows. How can I get large-sized pillowcases?
Our King Bundle Sets come with standard-sized pillowcases. If you need large-sized pillowcases, simply drop us an email to hello@sojao.shop with your order number and we will make sure to swap those pillowcases to our large-sized pillowcases. This requires an additional SGD10 top-up. We will email you an invoice with the top-up amount and you may pay by your preferred method.
Do your bundle sets come with bolster cases?
No, our bundle sets do not include bolster cases. Bolster cases can be added separately to your cart here!
Do you sell bed sheet sets without the duvet cover?
Yes we do! Our sheet sets here include just a fitted sheet and a pair of pillowcases.
Can I choose a bundle set with different colours for the fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcases?
Do your bundle set include a flat sheet/ top sheet?
No, our bundle sets do not include flat sheet / top sheet. They can be added separately to your cart here!

Can I send my order as a gift? Can I add a gift note?
Yes, we will be happy to include a handwritten gift note on your behalf and place it inside your lovely package! Simply select 'It's a Gift' option and include your gift note at your shopping cart, or you may send us an email at hello@sojao.shop within an hour of placing your order. Please remember to include your order number. We regret that we will not be able to help you add that gift note, if the item has already been shipped out.

Where does SOJAO ship to?
We ship to anywhere in the world! Deliveries in Singapore are free and it'll take between 3 to 5 working days.
International shipping takes between 2 to 5 working days. We use DHL as our international courier partner.
How long will shipping in Asia take?
Delivery to Hong Kong or Malaysia would usually take between 2 to 3 working days from the time the order is placed. Delivery to anywhere else, including Australia, would take 3 to 5 working days. We use DHL as our international courier partner.
How long will shipping to the rest of the world take?
Delivery to everywhere else in the world would usually take 3-5 working days. We use DHL as our international courier partner.
Where does SOJAO ship from?
We ship from a sunny island called Singapore! Commonly referred to as the "Little Red Dot", we are a spicy mixed pot of races and religion bubbling together with our common understanding of our colloquial tongue of "Singlish".
I'm in Singapore, can I do a self-collection?
Yes you can do so at our Home Goods Store! Simply select 'Store Pick Up @ '251 Joo Chiat Road' for self-collection.

What are my payment options?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, GrabPay and all debit and credit cards.
Do I need to pay for international duties and taxes?
International orders may be subject to duties and taxes based on the items ordered and shipment destination. Duties and taxes are not included in the item price or shipping cost. When you place an international order, you agree to pay any applicable fees levied by your destination country.

How can I cancel an order?

We stand behind everything we do and we hope you love your SOJAO items! However, if you are unsatisfied with your purchase for any reason, we will accept returns or exchanges within 30 days of delivery as long as the items are in brand new condition, unused and unwashed.
You may opt for a refund in your original payment method or a refund to gift card. You may also wish to exchange for another item. If the item you are choosing to exchange with has a higher value, you will have to top up the remaining amount. For items with a lower value, you will receive the difference in the form of a gift card.

Why can’t I be refunded in my original payment method if I purchased in-store?
We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide any refunds in your original payment method if they occured in-store as we are required to close settlements on a daily basis. We thank you for your kind understanding!
How can I return my online order or in-store purchase?
Kindly contact us in advance with your order number by emailing hello@sojao.shop to give us a heads up and we'll look out for your returns. Afterwards, you may pop by our Home Goods Store with the items or mail the items back to us.
If you are mailing the items back to us by any postal or courier service, please address it to our Home Goods Store at 251 Joo Chiat Road Singapore 42750. Please also add in the contact number '+65 9177 6152' in case the courier needs to reach us by mobile.
If you are returning from outside of Singapore, you may wish to mark ‘returned goods’ on the postal company’s consignment note to avoid potential customs duties and taxes being incurred again.

Are there any exceptions to your return policy?
Do note that we have a strict 30-day policy. If it’s beyond 30 days from date of purchase (in-store), or from date of delivery (online), we are unable to do a return for you.
Kindly note that all returns or exchanges must be traced back to a receipt or order number. This includes returns for items received as gifts. Please work with the gift-giver to obtain this.
The item that I'm looking to exchange for is out of stock. What are my options?
We're sorry to hear that! We can refund you for your returned item in the form of a gift card first instead, and contact you when your desired item is back in stock. You'll be able to use this gift card online when the time comes, or earlier if you change your mind. Please note that we are unable to accept returns or exchanges of washed or used products. Does your gift card have an expiry date?
We’d never advocate for mindless consumerism, hence our gift cards do not have an expiry date! Have the confidence to make a purchase only when you need to.
Where can I use my gift card?
Our gift cards may be used online or in-store. Gift cards are not exclusive to SOJAO items in-store, you may use them on consignment items that are available in-store as well.
I don't have an email address, can I still receive my refund through gift card?
Yes absolutely! Gift cards are deliverable by email or sms, so you can choose to provide a phone number instead if you don't have an email.
I would like to purchase a gift card of an amount that is not offered as an option on your website, could you help?

I purchased your gift card for a friend, can I have a nicer e-card with a gift message?
